Design Notes

O & Co had the pleasure to design & make a storge piece in American Black Walnut, for a conservatory extension that would partly be used as a dining space. Our trusting client allowed us creative freedom, with only one wish, for as much storage as possible, to house their collection of fine cutlery and crockery. 

Steering away from the "dull norm" to have a bank of cabinet doors, we maximised the bottom section of this piece with solid dovetailed drawers and clever cutlery drawers-within-drawers. A dramatic wave of walnut curves across the front, creating a striking focal point and adding a touch of sculptural artistry.

Understanding the client's international lifestyle, the piece was ingeniously designed and meticulously handcrafted to be easily dismantled and moved, ensuring it can grace any of their homes, anywhere in the world.
